Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
reSolved is committed to combatting slavery and human trafficking. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes reSolved’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 2021.
reSolved is a dynamic and diverse company in existence since 2007. We’ve grown 250% over the past three years and have staff in Europe, Canada, the United States, and India, with office locations in Dublin and Toronto. There is no third-party financial involvement so the company faces no external pressure associated with earnings, venture capitalists, etc.

As professional service providers, we do not operate in an industry where modern slavery is prevalent; nevertheless, we recognize such risks exist for organizations across the globe and we continue to enhance our supply chain selection and compliance processes with that in mind.
Through our policies we communicate our values and expectations, setting a high bar for ourselves and our partners and making clear that we do not tolerate modern slavery in our supply chains or any part of our business. We are committed to consistently evolving and improving our approach.
Considering the critical responsibilities to report on measures to ensure that all parts of our business and supply chain are slavery-free, we have reviewed our workplace policies and procedures to assess their effectiveness in identifying and tackling modern slavery issues. Our workplace policies and procedures demonstrate our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
New technology and professional service vendors are subject to a selection process and due diligence in respect of data privacy, security and other legal and compliance matters. The vendor due diligence process is documented prior to entering into any business relationship and periodically updated.

Given the nature of our business, the majority of our suppliers are technology and service vendors. Although we expect the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain to be low, we consider such risks in our selection and management processes.
To date, reSolved has had zero identified instances of modern slavery in our supply chain. If any risks or violations are identified, we will take all appropriate actions, including disengaging with suppliers.
At reSolved, we review our recruitment practices regularly and continuously work to attract a diverse range of candidates. There is a due diligence process for onboarding of new employees that includes background checks as well as mandatory training.
We train our employees regularly on a range of topics. Further to regular online training sessions, we consider additional training opportunities on an ongoing basis.
We recognize that tackling modern slavery and human trafficking is a continuous responsibility. Our efforts are ongoing to combat these practices and we will continue to undertake due diligence in our supply chain reviews and develop our policies and procedures accordingly.
